What's new · Portal v2.6 · July 2026

  • •Know what each waiver covers — the flight-form authorization picker now shows a brief description (e.g. "County Jail #3 San Bruno") so you pick the right one
  • •Same waiver list on the app — the phone app's Authorization field now suggests the same active COA/waivers, kept in sync automatically
  • •Archive instead of delete — old/expired authorizations can be archived (kept for audit packages) rather than removed from the record
  • •New airspace authorization on file — County Jail #3 San Bruno (2026-P107-WSA-14169), effective through July 2028

v2.5 · July 2026

  • •Military Equipment Report — new AB 481 report generator under Audit Packages, plus fleet warnings for aircraft not yet Board-approved
  • •Public Inquiries — a public form for community questions/complaints about UAS use, with an internal inbox to respond
  • •Address auto-fill — type a location on the flight form and the neighborhood + supervisor district fill in automatically
  • •Flight form parity with the app — Visibility & Wind dropdowns, an "Other" option on Aircraft/RPIC/Supervisor, and pilots vs. supervisors sorted correctly
  • •FAA waiver guidance — a walkthrough on the Authorizations page showing which FAA site to apply to, plus grid-check links

v2.4 · July 2026

  • •New address — the portal now lives at portal.sfso-uas.org; old links redirect automatically
  • •Flight alerts — the command team is notified by email the moment a flight is logged
  • •Acronym help — hover any acronym (RPIC, COA, LAANC, Part 107…) for a plain-English explanation
  • •Safer deletes — every delete now asks for confirmation first
  • •Easier sign-in — eye icon to show your password while typing (it's case-sensitive)
